Are you a big bag person (backpack, laptop briefcase) or a small bag (tablet size, purse, etc.) person?

My EDC bag is bigger than average.

EDC = Pocket carry so that would be small no bag.
OTOH, my latest acquisition is an REI Ruckpack 28 (1709 ci), which probably qualifies as a medium pack for EDC, not large, but bigger than my Patagonia Atom Sling at 488 ci.

Work: Laptop bag. It’s not terribly small.

Outdoors stuff: Generally a Camelbak MULE, which is a midsize bag.

Long events related to my recombinant DNA: Either my laptop bag or a smaller bag for my tablet and a power bank.

It’s colossally unsubtle but I have a 5.11 fanny pack for when I’m out on a bike ride.

Most other activities, no bag.

During working years, a laptop bag

Now, retired and living in city.
Mostly no bag, but a 15 liter bag is always nearby in the car trunk

35 litre backpack which is normally only 1/2 full.
Small PSK and survival kit, small tool kit and medium sized electronics kit, rain jacket, various cordage and lunch with my LM Surge strapped to the outside.

I can add my laptop easily or books/files for work. I like the flexibility to add items as I require.

Neither-my EDC goes in my pockets. if I am gearing up for something elaborate, it goes in a 35 liter backpack, almost all the time.

I still have the bag in the car and I have the winter "crash bag" which I drag around when on trips and may have to stop at an accident or if I'm involved in one. EDC is in the pockets but I'm re-thinking the current bag and will likely wind up with a small bail out bag to complement the back pack and the more extreme crash bag stuff.

Time will tell but it's always Saturday for me now so I'm not rushing on it.

I find I do both sizes; smaller for outings and a laptop bag for work.
