I found this on a tech site I troll.

This seems to hold a lot of potential for long term preparedness, especially for urban environments. I haven’t sprung for a gas (or other fuel) generator as I expect “normal” fuels will be wholly unavailable in a long term emergency. I’d buy one of these though, not for a while of course. But if the army gets a hold of it there’s almost certainly going to be a civilian version, or at least surplus. It would also have to get a lot smaller.
Thoughts?

Looks interesting. So would garbage man have to devliver rather than pick up, Or would you have to worrry about someone stealing your trash. <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Michael? I have a 5,000....2=3,000....3= 2,000 (two strokes)W generators, I have used my 3,000W generators about five time but WTSHTF I can do just fine with one of my smaller 2,000W two strokes generator, it is a gas saver and with almost no sound.

Have a 780 gallons tank of gas plus eight more 5 gallons.

I just sent for a gas water heater that you connect to a water hose from "Sportsmans Guide", this water heater will operate in the 80-150 degrees range and will start on it own when you open the water faucett.
