I don't know if you have heard of this yet but last year the Canadian built "hitchbot" hitchhiked his way across Canada and he is now coming to a State near you. Basically it is a robot with a GPS, camera, solar power and a voice module with a little bit of intelligence. When people encounter the bot, he encourages them to pick him up and transport him towards his destination - ultimately San Francisco. But along the way, this bot also wants to strike off a few locales off his bucket list to see.
