I love it. I can't wait for the bee balm to come in. I've always loved the smell of the leaves and figured there must be a way to use it, but never stumbled on a recipe.
As always, moderation in all things. When the day is done and you are done hiking for the day, a little responsible relaxation is fine. Enjoy camping responsibly.

Great article, Blast. I don't partake in alcohol when I'm out there because I always seem to have a little person to take care of, but a girl can dream of a more civilized life.
Rum has always been the drink of the canoe trippers going way back to the Voyageurs of the fir trade days. i enjoy a bump in the evening tea or use a spot in the water i use to rehydrate the freeze dry fruit at dinner. some 30 years ago i learned a lesion the hard way.i thought if i took a high proof booze i could carry less and get the same bang for the buck.i took that 101 proof rum with the black bat [censored] i'm drunk.i landed on a small pine covered islet and to the sound of chattering red squirrels dozed off.woke up sometime later with a head that felt like it was full of sand and made camp early. now it's just a normal jog at dinner to relax before sack time.
