I am trying to remember a film and a TV series, both had an "ark" type vehicle.
In both of them it was TEOTWAWKI , and a few survivors had this vehicle.

In the film , the "ark" was - as I remember - like an armored personnel carrier but with THREE wheels on eacxh corner. Two wheels on the ground and a third wheel hanging on top. And when this vehicle went on water the axis on each corner would rotate and the three tires became sort of paddles.

Sorry, I don't remember anything else about the film. The vehicle is all I remember now.

The TV series - if I remember - had a similar vehicle but close to "normal" motorhome than anything else. Maybe there was a gate in the back or on the side for smaller vehicles to get in and out.

I just can't remmeber what these films were called.

Thanks

The movie was Damnation Alley and the vehicle was the Landmaster. Both have wikipedia pages.
I built a stair climber platform based on those wheels in high school. Very cool! The other show is linked from the landmaster page "Ark II".
Damn you now I need to watch them again laugh they bring back good memories of making mom crazy!

Enjoy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landmaster

The Landmaster vehicle, features a hinged center section, and a unique rotating 12-wheel assembly. The "Landmaster" was custom-built for
the film at a cost of $350,000 in 1976. [4] ($1.4
million in 2010 dollars) [5]

The Landmaster should not be confused with the superficially similar but simpler Ark II.

Based on a book by Roger Zelazny of the same name. Book was better than the movie.

The movie starred Jan Michael-Vincent. No, I don't remember the name of the movie either. There were two of those vehicles that started out the trip and only one completed the mission, as I recall.

Thank you so much .
Yes , it is the Damantion Alley.
Saw the vehicle's foto and recognized it.

I am loading it now from You Tube and will be seeing it.
Downloading (On the Beach) too.

Double thanks.

Its time to re-think the best encyclopedia on the net; Wikipedia, or ETS.

Bless you, my friend. I was appalled at the movie's deletion of tom bombadil, my favorite trilogy character.

You know your old when you went to the movies to see it. I thought it was a cool film especially the flesh eating roaches!

I just saw it and didn't like it. No wonder I only remembered the vehicle... LOL

I especially didn't like them pressing those buttons with absolutely no emotions. Just like flipping the light switch.

Bad movie ... except for the car. It was cool
