Surrounded by huge, dangerous animals you find yourself in a small group. You have no metal tools, no guns, no flashlights, and nobody to call for help but those within your small group. Welcome to survival Clovis style.

Interesting how they exploited resources from a very wide area. Adapted their hunting style, cached resources, and were the high-tech hunters of their day.

When you find yourself in a survival situation you might remember that there are people, not to much different from ourselves, who made it with less than we have today.

For most of human history, the general life style typified by Clovis hunters was the norm. Agriculture, urbanization, and them other new fangled ideas are relatively recent.

The Clovis people or would that be the Solutrean people may have even made even more discoveries such as alcohol and the kebab, which have been long forgotten in the archaeological record.

Whether this actually happened or not is a matter of lively debate in archaeological circles. Let's just say it is a possibility, not yet proven.
