took me two tries - success!

doesn't yet look as good as kevin's in a previous post - the pink one - but now it's just a function of dressing the knot.

Someone asked if you could work it tight around a small firesteel as an emergency backup (you'd have to cut it out most likely) - but YES, I think that would work nicely.
