I put a paracord handle on this custom knife. This is one killer blade; I cut myself by accident doing the work, its as sharp as a razor, yet as burly as I've ever handled. Wow. heres the "specs"; its a 4-turn turks head knot. ends are buried and you can't tell where it begins or ends. its one single 30' piece of paracord that is tight as hell! now I know what a "big" knife feels like. this is one evil blade. I've gotten permission from the owner to whack some wood with it so I'm very excited for tomorrow! I asked him what its for, and its not a woods blade. he just wanted something wild and pirate-like for a bedside blade. well he got it. I could shave with this thing. aaaaargh!

Crocodile Dundee would be proud to carry that.

Beautiful braiding on the handle.

I am not a huge fan of big knives. But I like the paracord handle you made for it.

I see a knife that size as being too big to be convenient as a knife but not a very good machete.

I'm with you my friend; I've never handled something like this before. the spine is 3/16" thick and this thing must way a few pounds easy!

Nice handle! Can you provide a tutorial?

Regarding the knife, I'm sure that size is perfect for something. It would be nice if a knife could magically change sizes, but it can't. So, there is no knife that is "best in class" for everything.

I'm not the blade maker, but I'm waiting to hear from the owner on blade specs after which I'll post.
