Has anyone tried this? I came across someone selling such a setup on eBay, but I can't figure out how it is assembled.

I'm always on the prowl for a better frame for my ALICE pack for winter use, and while I wouldn't use the GenI frames, the newer frames are reputed to be much less fragile. And about two pounds lighter than the ALICE frame- thats another quart of water.
