Like most of you, I've been around for a while. A loooooong while. I-can't-believe-it's-been-this-long a while.

I've been carrying a tritium marker on my keychain for 16 years. I first reviewed it in this thread:

http://forums.equipped.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showthreaded&Number=49394

The half life of tritium is a little over 12 years, so the marker is now less than half as bright as when new. Time to upgrade. My new yellow (green and blue were sold out) Tritium vial is now safely contained within a CountyComm Titanium capsule. I'd forgotten how bright these things can be.

I know these days Tritium is nothing special and everyone that wants some has some, but I thought it would be fun to close the loop after all this time with what may be the forum's longest product review.

The marker held up very well, I think, after 16 years of daily use on my keychain:

Will the new one? I'll report back in 16 years. lol.

That link doesn't help find a way to purchase the marker. I didn't "sign in" to that site.
Have you purchased any in the U.S.? Last I checked they were not allowed... for some foolish reason.

The link in the original thread died almost sixteen years ago. I wouldn't expect any to be available there.

They're trivial to source. I got mine from a guy out of the UK on eBay.

Glow Rhino looks to be a domestic source for tritium doodads. As I said, it's easy to get trit these days.

They're surprisingly bright. I have tritium markers on keychains, flashlights, knives, etc.

Highly recommended bling.

Tritium markers can't legally be sold in the US but it's usually easy to order them from the UK and elsewhere. At the moment there is a shortage because of the pandemic. Prices are up, certain sizes are unavailable or hard to find, etc. But there are still some out there. mixglo.com (UK) is a decent source.

The other annoying thing is tritium spheres haven't been manufactured in years. I have an old gadget that uses one. Its sphere is partly faded by now, and I can't replace it as far as I can tell.

Hey groo, you should blur the numbers on your keys in that pic. Someone who was interested could make a key to your (house or whatever) with just those numbers (pin #s). Blurring the cut of the key itself isn't a bad idea either.

I would think finding the house the key goes to would be much harder than duplicating the key.
