It looks like in Mass., your chance of getting killed by an animal is 1 in 8,184,535, and in Montana it is 1 in 674,600. So you're 12 times more likely to get killed by an animal in Montana. Note: bears don't read stats, so they might not know this. Also, the number one animal killer is apparently the deer, not the bear.
