Hey gang,

A little self-aggrandizement: today I will finish my inter-semester read. It is a short book, about 200 pages of text excluding the inter-chapter blanks, endnotes, appendices and indices, and table of contents, titled "Historical Sociolinguistics: language change in Tudor and Stuart England" by Terttu Nevalainen, Helena Raumolin-Brunberg (2003). It was interesting, not riveting, but interesting.

MoBOB, are you still doing the TESL program?

I'd hate to have you as my ESL teacher.

"OK, class, now we're going to practice some popular phrases and idioms from the Tudor period of England. Repeat after me..." wink

Arney,

I finished the TESL program in 2010. I did one year at community college in their computer science department. I did not like the direction it was going, so I altered my vector yet again. I am now filling some Bible/theology requirements for a college I want to teach at. They require all professors to have 30 semester hours of Bible/theology in their background, regardless of program. In May of this year I will be starting a M.A. in English with TESL emphasis through St. Cloud State University (online).
