If you're in the market for a years supply of food you might want to look at:

http://reviews.costco.com/2070/11487214/reviews.htm

http://gizmodo.com/5655182/costco-will-s...ng-food-for-800

Evidently there is enough of a calling to persuade COSTCO to make the offer. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad sign.

I don't know much about that kind of product. Is that a good deal, or are you joking?

It might work okay, but I suspect it is high in the boring category that someone mentioned recently.

I looked over the list of contents and it isn't complete. 150 servings of pancakes, but no syrup. No fats, no flour, no grain mill, no yeast, no cheese for the macaroni. No margarine, no jam.

And you would need an adequate source of water to rehydrate everything. I can see some family buying a year's worth of this food, and not storing or having water available...

I think this is the quick-fix for people who don't think things through. I would need to supplement it pretty heavily, myself.

I wonder if this THRIVE people food is manufactured by the THRIVE dog food people?

Sounds like a good investment of a pre Event $800, especially if the distribution of food parcels is delayed.
