Who thinks it'd be a good idea to have a forum for edc/preparedness based bargain/sales finds? With the way the economy is, I for one am tightening my belt (so to speak). I would surely welcome it. Anyone else agree with me?

In theory, it's a grand idea.

But in practice, how do we avoid ending up hip-deep in shills and spam?

Sorry for being such a skeptic. I just worry about creating a make-work project for our moderators.

I'm still voting "yay" but with an asterisk and yards of fine print.

I think we already have this informally in the campfire forum. I remember scoring a great deal on nalgene products that way.

I think we should have a buy/sell/trade area in general, not just one for paid adverts. A sort of swap meet forum...no commercial business conducted, just stuff members want to buy/sell.

I agree with oldsoldier.

I've posted a couple 'deals' in commercial area and it has gone well, and saved a lot of people money.
