I picked up a pair of the Magellan dark brown socks on the left several years ago and they've been awesome (warm, durable, and feel great).

-Blast, now with warm tootsies

p.s. Not affiliated, just really pleased with the purchase.

Nice. Good find.

They look warm. Throw a thin liner sock underneath them to nearly double the warmth.

If I had them down here the moths would have a field day. I've had a lot of wool I used up north lunched by the local moths. A pea coat, heavy wool pants and a 'wooly pully' sweater that together made up one of my favorite cold weather outfits didn't make it through the first year. The local wildlife wasn't impressed or deterred by the cedar-lined steamer chest. Ironically the items the bugs didn't touch were all items I didn't much like. Evidently moths share my tastes in wool clothes.

That's when I switched to synthetics. They don't have the same cache but I can stuff them into a chest, return after a year or three, and have a reasonable expectation of finding them intact when I need them.

Love wool -- socks, liners, undershirts, sweaters . . . I keep all the wool in a chest with moth balls and other chemical packs. So far so good. Sock liners are a good investment.
