The postman just dropped my Necker Becker. It rattles a bit in its sheath and the edge is nothing to write home about.
I'd like to wrap the handle in paracord but I have no idea how to do it. Any advise?

I'd suggest you plug the phrase "wrap the handle in paracord" into your preferred search engine, and browse through the results.

Here you go:

Also check Youtube.com for videos. There are dozens of videos on wrapping knife handles with paracord.

Also search the forum. Lots of discussion of the BN. I have one and have been carrying it for years. It works well for me.

If its rattling, why not just send it in for a new one?

I have three of them and all of them fit great.

Send it back.

The retention usually has nothing to do with rattle. Even if the opening of plastic sheath (where it grips the knife) is as tight as it can be, the blade can slop around and hit either side of sheath if it's not tight enough there, which is quite common in injection molded plastic sheath.

Postage would cost more than the value of the knife. I probably got some factory seconds, because the ad said that the knife rattled, although it's quite safe in its sheath. Won't come out unless you pull hard. It doesn't seem to be very sharp. Actually I was disappointed with its edge and sharpened it a bit and now it's fairly sharp. I think that the heat gun is a good idea although nobody I know has one. Would a hair drier work?
