Anyone know of a source for something like this?

I'm looking for a tube that the diameter is bigger then a pencil, but at the same time securely hold liquid. Ideally, I would like to be able to customize the length, but its not a deal breaker.

Google searching keeps bringing up the Keep2Go tubes!!!!

ideas?

could you make your own? Does it have to be hard or can it be flexible? If flexible maybe you could go get some tubing the size you want and make a cap? Also you could maybe find some really small pvc pipes at the hardware store, thats were I would look.

What do you want it for??

I like centrifuge tubes. They come in of bunch of sizes with watertight lids.

I'm building up a psk and was looking for a way to store 100% deet. Don't need and have no room for a 4oz bottle, and where I usually go 100% deet is what you need to help keep the mozzies at bay. I really don't like the wipes and haven't been able to find ones that are 100%.

I was thinking of using straws and setting them up for single use (2-3 inches long, which would contain a good amount of deet). But I don't have anything at home that I can use to safely 'melt' the ends of the straw to make a proper seal.

I like blast's idea about the centrifuge tubes... but 500 to a case? All i need is one... well, probably 10 or so.

We (the lab) have both polypropylene and polycarbonate 15ml centrifuge tubes with screw on lids, but I really do not know if they will withstand 100% DEET.

Or just the nalgene tubes and vials they sell at REI - smaller than 4 oz, hold liquid pretty well.

Make you own out of plastic straws. You can seal the ends by cutting off about a 1/4 inch from the end of the straw. Then bent the end of the straw back on itselfs and then put the bent over end into the 1/4 ring of straw that you cut off.
