I found this over on candlepower forums and ordered three of them tonight. They look fantastic and all the people I have talked to are more than happy with their order, check it out...

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=119849

If anyone either doesn't have an account on candlepower or doesn't want to get one I can put you in touch with the guy who makes these. Just send me a PM and I'll hook you up.

That is odd, it works fine when I click on it. Go to www.candlepowerforums . com, then click on "enter forum" then scroll down (middle of page) until you see the section "Buy/Sell/Trade" beneath that click on the "sell" forum under "non lights". The topic is "FS: Paracord survival bracelets (PICS ADDED)"

If you cannot find it or the think still does not work for you let me know. I am not sure why you could not get there as every time I click the link myself it goes straight to the thread it's self.

I don't know why you cannot use the link but I already left details on how to get to the thread. I even used the link after I had logged myself out of the site (member) and had no problems. Anyway here is a quote of the persons post. Anyone interested in buying one I can let him know and he will send you an email so you can work the details...

"I just acquired some different colors of 550 cord and some 3/4" fastex buckles. I made a paracord bracelet for myself and thought I would offer to make some for folks on here. If you are not familiar with these, many soldiers wear these in order to carry a length of paracord with them easily. And, I suppose, also for the "coolness" factor. All parts are mil-spec...the 550 cord has actual strands inside instead of fibers so that you can use both the inner strands and the casing for different uses. The buckles and the cord are mil-spec and made in the United States -- not imported.

Price will be $20.00 + $3.00 shipping via USPS with DC for any number of bracelets up to a pound...that's a lot of bracelets! Postal Money order preferred. PayPal ok if you cover the fees. I will only ship within the US.

1 bracelet for $20
2 for $36
3 for $45

These are HEAVY DUTY. I saw some on eBay that were $15.00...mine have 6 strands of 550 cord inside the braid instead of 2 (like the ebay ones), so it is much more substantial. It takes a little more time to do them this way as well. If you want one of the cheapie ones with only two strands, I can do that for $15.00, but it will not be as nice as the six strand one and will slip around on the fastex buckle at the ends. Some of the ones I have seen around have monkey's fists on the ends to secure them...they are also only made with two inner strands, as stated above and feel very cheesy compared to mine. The ones with the little balls on the end may be "cute" and all, but the ones the real soldiers wear are not made like that. Neither do they wear ones secured by ball chains and they do not have the cute little metal beads woven in. And...mine are CUSTOM FIT!!! Made to order! No need to be "sized down".

The colors I have are ACU Camouflage, Desert Tan (light tan), Coyote Tan (dark tan), Desert Camo, Black, Foliage Green, OD (olive drab) green, Maroon, Royal Blue, Navy Blue, White, Safety Orange, Turquoise, and Teal. I have 3/4" buckles in foliage green, tan, and black.

If you would like one, please let me know your wrist size for the wrist you intend to wear it on. For proper fit, it should be measured with a fiberglass tailor's tape (cloth ones stretch over time)...or -- cut a piece of paper, wrap it around your wrist until it overlaps over the thickest part...the wristbone, mark where it overlaps and then measure the length with a ruler. I need the exact measurement to get it to fit correctly. Please do not add any extra to that measurement or it will not fit right. If you do not do it this way, the fastex buckle can catch your skin and leave a bruise. Trust me...you do not want to do this. It smarts a bit.

As these are custom fit, I will need payment first and then I will make your bracelet. I will make them as soon as possible and will try to ship them within a day of payment...usually, they'll go out the same day! I am a US soldier and am selling these in order to generate some funds to upgrade my personal equipment. I also enjoy making them and hope that folks will be impressed with the quality and enjoy wearing them."

The link does not seem to work for me, either. As well, simply going to http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ returns a "server not found" error. So, thank you for posting the description manually. It sounds pretty interesting. I wish I could see the pictures. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
