The other thread discusses bugging out in one or two cars. I was wondering loooong time ago if it was a part of anyone plan to standardize their vehicle types !!!

For example wife and husbnad choose two cars of same manufacturer , not necessarily a carbon copy but one with same wheel size, engine parts ..etc.

Maybe it is easier when two neighbors, buddies , father and son ..etc., buy two used trucks of the same type. Then in bugging out trip you are at ease becuase you can share each other's spare tires , spare parts ..etc.

Anyone tried this in reality ?
Any difficulties or negative side.

Oh, same goes for trailers.
We can see many trailers with small tires. I wonder if you can get any spares for those or if it is better just to get the same tire size as your car, truck or jeep.

I think that is too complicated of an option to spend time on for the return that you would be achieving. There are other options available in the event of a breakdown or some kind of failure on the road.

I think it is a hard-core survival concept if you have the resources. People and relatives I know who live on farms and rebuild their trucks over and over that could work for. Maybe it could work if you and your spouse want a similar vehicle. Otherwise it could be a real pain in the butt and more trouble than it's worth.

If you make your own homemade trailer out of an old pickup truck bed of course the tires can be the same size. Seen plenty of them. Then again I've seen plenty of them discarded as worthless. Are there manufacturers that make full-size tires on trailers? I haven't seen any lately, but I haven't paid much attention either.
