Gentlemen,
I went to follow one of the many fine idea's I've learned from all of you, and noticed something......
Yes, you can wrap about 10 feet of Duct Tape around a "Shopping Card", like the one's you "Prepay" on at Wally World.......But
If you wrap carefully and put the Duct Tape even with the side edge of the card, you have enough room left over to add about 10-12 feet of Electrical Tape to the same card!
Now I have a "Flat Pack" in my wallet and my wife has one buried somewhere in the bottom of her purse!

How bulky is it? When I repack tape, it's usually to get a very small package, but this sounds worthwhile for the pack. If it is about the size an altoids tiny... <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I actually wrap the duct tape around itself in a square like shape. Just imagine doing it without the card..

Hmm,
Sounds like my posting about my tongue depresser tape dispenser. I've been toting these in most of my packs, including edc. I wrap one end of the depresser with about 10 feet of duct tape, the other end with about the same amount of electrical tape, and spool about 50 feet of 120 lb dacron line in between. It is easily stowed in my edc, and has come in handy a few times for field expedient non-critical use. Tongue depressers also make good firestarter material. As Alton Brown would say, I like a good multi tasker.

In my bag, i keep a tiny roll of electrical tape i made around a match stick (cut down to size). Useful for small repairs. I should make a flat roll fo grilla tape, good stuff.

Another option is to get Coghlans duct tape, it has a peel off backing, it folds completely flat, so is a good option if your container is softsided and can expand, or room is at a premium.
