I attempted a search of the archives, and couldn't find the posting I was looking for (hope I'm not rehashing something, that's irritating!). Someone had mentioned those Tuna Fish packets that are good for 2 years.

Well, I'm adding them to my hurricane kit, with packets of mayonnaise. I might not be able to get bread, but at least the tuna fish won't be dry!

Just add some dandelion leaves and make a salad!

Forget the packets-just buy a jar of "Dukes" the only real mayo there is.

Actually, I know you can get tins of tuna salad. I THINK you can get retort pouches of it as well, premixed. Check out minimus.biz.

Tuna are endangered and full of mercury and mayonaiise invented by the french to cover up bad meat ( nothing personal Alain ) I'm sticking with fruitcake, jerky and chocolate

Does "Dukes" have to be refridgerated after opening? The packets were because there would be no refridgeration, and are a "single use" size.

Oh, and instead of normal bread, you could maybe use those dried flat cracker sized bread. Or just crackers. In fact, if you want crackers Starfish Brand (I believe...) makes a "kit" that has tuna, mayonnaise, and crackers.

Who would want to put mayonnaise on their house? Some kind of bio-hazard seal?
