I ordered some individual pkged OTC meds for my kits and have a lot left over. I have a few packs I have put together for sale if anybody needs anything. I have 3 "sets" left if anyone is interested. Not trying to retire on the $$$ <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Chris or Doug, If for sale stuff is not appropriate, just delete and my apologies in advance.

Selection based on recommendations in Wilderness Medicine 4rd edition edited by Auerbach.

Individual packaged meds are harder to find and cost more due to the added convenience of unit dosing.

The amounts are based on the average adult maximum dose for 24 hours. (72+ hours for pain/fever).

Meds to treat upper respiratory symptoms, pain, fever, inflammation, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, rashes, itching, and local skin infection

Meds are generic. Brand name given as example only.

Most have 2+ year till expiration. The imodium is only 18 months or so.

Aspirin (5 grains)(EXP 06/2013) 10 pkg of 2
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) (325mg) (EXP 01/2008)4 pkg of 2
Bismuth Subsalicylate (PeptoBismol) (EXP 11/2008)( 262mg) 8 pkg of 2
Ibuprofen (Motrin)(200mg)(EXP 11/2008) 3 pkg of 2
Loperamide(Imodium) (EXP 11/2006) 2mg 4 pkg of 1
Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed)(30mg)(EXP 12/2007) 4 pkg of 2
Triple antibiotic ointment (.9gm)(EXP 04/2008) 3 foil pkg
Hydrocortizone Cream 1% (.9gm)(EXP 01/2009) 3 foil pkg

As a bonus, I'll throw in a extra first aid something or two as well. [:)]

$11 each, 2 for $20. Shipping $3.85 for Priority Mail. Paypal ok, no upcharge. $2 extra to vacuum pack.

Duckear,

Where did you order the prepackaged meds from? I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but I've got enough family members that I could make kits for my wife and I and give the extra's away as gifts.
