I finally found some time to start stuffing my Maxpedition Nucleus bag with gear. I bought the bag to help organize some of my stuff, especially while traveling. It also makes switching gear between the work car and personal car a breeze. Fit and finish of the bag is excellent, and there's quite a few various-sized compartments. There's even a "secret" velco pocket if you happen to carry a sidearm.

The size of the Nucleus compares to that of a small laptop bag. I still have some room leftover, too. A removeable shoulder strap (with comfortable padding) is included.

Cool set up. I have the original CountComm version and like it a lot. I'm sure the Maxpedition version is much nicer.

I am really impressed with Maxpedition. I have one of their small waistpacks (M-2) the thing is indestructible!

I like the bag, good design. Your kits looking good, the only thing I might recommend is assembling a more comprehensive medkit, even more so since you have a bit of extra room. I've found that a lot of the premade kits don't have what you would really need if someone was injured. Of course, I have a bias towards medical supplies, everyone has a favorite thing about kit assembly and thats mine, I've always admired medics. I also perfer to carry my multitool on me than in a bag, but that may be unsutible depending on where you live or what you do, some things can't be helped. Anyway, I don't want to sound like Im just picking flaws here, you have a really good set up in a small amount of space, good job!

Thanks for the suggestions and compliments! I should have added that I have a pretty good medical kit in my car. But there's always room for more. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Also considering putting in one of Doug's great PSPs. As far as the multi-tool goes, I threw it in the bag because sometimes it's out of place during meetings for work.

I figured as much, I have the same problem in university with my multi-tool. I carry it on me all the time but am careful to make sure that it is tucked away and I don't use it in that setting unless I have to. Good stuff man!

Why is it every time I read something on this forum it costs me money? I had resisted this bag for months until I read this post; now mine's on the way. Great kit by the way.
