#23752 - 01/25/04 06:28 AM any good web sites for ordering supplies?

I have tried to find some good online stores for ordering supplies and prefer those that "contain everything", but i've been having some difficulty finding reputable ones. Some will have knives and others won't, or some will have an item cheaper that another site, but then their folding shovels are $10 more...I already know of IMSPLUS and a few others, but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of sites they frequent...

thanks again

For the above I can't strongly enough recommend getting an AFDB it is a must to protect the privacy of your thoughts and the sanctity of your will! Get two their cheap and your friends don't know how badly they need one!.

For other more mundane supplies you might want to check out the retailer and manufacturer pages on this site. One retailer that I have had great luck with both in terms of price and selection is mafor surplus and survival

Also worthy of mention are, in no particular order;

www.sportsmansguide.com
www.actiongear.com
www.cabelas.com
www.cheaperthandirt.com

hey thanx everyone, those sites should be able to help me out, and few were exactly what i was looking for, sort of all encompassing...thanx again!

and Rob, i was wondering if you or anyone else has tried SPEC.-OPS.™ T.H.E. WALLET™ , will it fit within the front hip pocket of a pair of BDU's? or would the Jr version fit better? it looks like a very robust wallet and i am in dire need of a new one (this old leather one is about 10 years old and falling apart!) I'm looking for something that'll last longer than 10yrs
you guys are great, if my posts are ever too general or "newbie" let me know

I prefer to use the SOB the wallet jr and no worries about it fitting your BDU.

but why do you prefer it? the smaller size?

does the closure work fairly well? i can't really seem to see how it functions

Yes, the smaller size is a plus. The original wallet is too bulky to place it at the side pockets.

The rounded and folded ends are stiffened. You fold the rounded part of the wallet into the lower folded area of the wallet. The closure is quite secure.

HTH.
