Not sure if this is the real 7 strand stuff, but it is available in many colors here:

And this place specifically says the mil-spec 550 is available in OD, red, black, and white....not cheap though.

TAD Gear has 4 strand stuff in various colors.

I used to have a hank of avalanche cord that was 7 strand red paracord, but I bought this in the late 1970's and the use of avalanche cord is pretty much gone now with the advent of reliable beacons.

Shomer-Tec has parachute cord ("550 cord") in tan, od, red, and black for $7.00/100ft.

On the left side of their home page, choose "Raw Materials", then "Suspension Line". Look at Item: W9690 YARD - TYPE III NYLON CORD . It's the classic 7-strand "550-cord", available in different colors.]
