The latest on this guy who went hiking last November in the Gila National Forest, got lost, choppered out, and nearly died. His trusty dog Zulu, who probably saved his life, got spooked and took off. Now the hiker is searching for Zulu. Read more at www.gettingprepared.info.
There are very few things worse than losing a dog. Obviously, the death of a child/parent/spouse/sibling is harder, but there is something just heart wrenching when a dog dies. My Golden Retriever, Ranger died this January and I'm still hurting
