Found it in the slush while cycling, doesn't have a brand name. Just says stainless steel on the blade.

Also does anyone have any ideas for any uses for this knife? I'm pretty good with my Leatherman Wave right now.

looks like something fairly generic, mass produced for cheap cost. You might see this under "frost cutlery" name or on HSN TV where 40 knives sells for $40. uses low-end steel to produce a product limited to a strict price point.

I would use it for open envelopes, very light cutting duty like paper or plastic bag. Basically anything you can do with a slipjoint, you can do with this one, pretend it doesn't have a lock. Without further knowledge, I wold not trust the lock too much simply because it was built to a price point.

The previous advice on the lock is dead on. I think a friend of son#1 has one. I sharpened it for him (Kinda), the lock failed and he cut himself. I introduced him to the saying "You get what you pay for.".

You see this 'stuff' sold at check cashing stores and gasoline staions. It's chicom junk.
But, to note the abpove post, it MAY very well be a tossed weapon in a potential crime, and should be turned in.

It looks vaguely familiar -- I think they sell them at Canadian Tire (large hardware chain up here). It's cheap Chinese stuff.

Use your best judgement regarding the lock -- some work and some don't, it depends on the batch, the quality control is 'highly variable.'

Don't bother turning it in; IMO the blade isn't long enough to be interesting to law enforcement.

If the lock is passable, these kinds of knives are useful for 'toolbox duty' -- scraping parts, cutting cardboard, stripping electrical wire, scoring drywall, and other general abuse. A coarse stone or carbide sharpener (or even a file) will keep a crude but usable edge on it.

Drive it 'til it dies.

Yeah I'm in Canada as well. I have never seen them there before, but then again I have only looked at multitools in the knife section.

The lock seems passable. Wish I would have found it before I had started renovating my laundry. Ive been using a old Culinair? or some German made knife for drywall.

I think I might keep it in my photo bag for those times I need a knife but forgot my Leatherman.

Use it to carve a tank out of ice, rescue the girl and foil the dimwitted commie terrorists

(Or maybe use it for grooming - would explain the raggedy mullet?)

It looks like a Spyderco copy but not totally a copy, they cafefully avoided a single round hole in the design which is the Spyderco trademark.

It could be Chinese. But remember the Swiss watches used to be copies of French watches and considered inferior quality when reformist Jean Calvin forbade wearing jewellery and goldsmiths turned to watchmaking to make a living. But many years later they are considered the top. Chinese will learn as the Swiss did.

Use it to cut cardbox, tapes, etc. With a handle like this you will develop blisters in more demanding tasks. I would be careful about the lock too.

I wouldn't carry this thing everyday. In fact I think I would throw it in the recycle bin. But then again, if this is the only knife you have while being in a survival situation, then this is your survival knife. But since you're frequenting this forum you certainly have the forethought of outfitting yourself with better quality knives that can be called "survival knives".
