I have the Ritter MK1 fullsized and mini knives, which I love. The pocket clips are getting slack because the tiny screws that secure them are slowly coming loose. They are so small, I really can't tell if they are hex head or Torx. I'm sure I'm going to lose one or more of these tiny screws soon if I don't get them snugged up.

Does anyone know for sure what fastener type they are, and what size wrench I need to tighten them up? I want to clean them then reinstall with some blue Loctite.

Do you own one and have had a problem?

To the best of my knowledge, everyone to date, that owns one has had nothing but praise for the knife. I own several and feel they are highly crafted and amongst the best knives I own.

It is my understanding that the RSK Mk1 is manufactured by Benchmade. The third from the last FAQ on Benchmade's site should help answer yours:

As a side note, I had the same problem with my Cold Steel Recon 1. I wrote the company and gave them the model of the knife and they sent me some replacement screws free of charge. If you use loctite just be sure you will never have to take apart the knife for cleaning or change the carry clip to the opposite side of the knife etc as the screws will most likely strip after using it. I found out the hard way. frown

Thanks guys, I didn't think to ask Benchmade (duh). They say it's a T6. I'll try to find a buddy who has one.

Looks like Buckshot is a troll. Any honest evaluation of the Ritter folders shows that his comment is ridiculous.

It is a torx head.
Try this

I have one and it works on all BM screws.

It is indeed a T6 Torx screw for the pocket clip screws, and a T10 for the pivot.

Craftsman makes a good one, that has held up for years of switching pocket clips on Benchmades for this south-paw. laugh

I have a Grip. Just call Benchmade, they'll send screws and usually the corresponding Allen wrench.

As an aside, Benchmade DOES have lifetime "tuneups" for $5. Just mail the knife, they'll resharpen, clean it out, tighten it up. I do mine annually, on average.
