From another thread:
"Large bright red bandanna (didn't have orange)"

Hobby Lobby has some great Day-Glo Orange bandannas in the fabric craft/tshirt section. I think they were $ .50. Bright enough to sear your retinas! Just FYI!

Cool! I'll have to gather up my protective eyeware and stop by the local HL to check it out!!

I'm a big believer that folks should pack a bright orange "flag" in their gear bag. I myself prefer to carry both a large bright orange garbage bag AND a bright orange bandanna. Both have lots of other uses too.

Thanks for the tip,

Ken K.

I'm in the bigger is better school of bandanas, at least for outdoors fun. I have a solid red one from Jinglebobs. When I ordered it they had safety orange too. Now they seem to have no solid colors. At 35" x 35" they are a lot more useful than regular bandanas. Big enough for a sling, towel, and so on.

They specialize in silk bandanas for cowboys and pretend cowboys, and still have some solid colors (including red and safety orange). I'm not sure if they would suit my needs. I could always give it to my wife if it didn't, so that she could be fashionable during deer season.

They are a small company so we may be able to talk them into a group buy of cotton bandanas in solid colors. I would be interested if anyone else is.

There is also this website, which I've had bookmarked for years, but never ordered from.

I can't vouch for the company but some of my favorite bandanas are 27" x 27". They came from an army surplus store in San Jose, CA. They pocket carry better than the Jinglebobs size but are still bigger than average, which makes them more useful for me.

I'll have to check out Hobby Lobby on one of my wife's next trips. It seems she is there once a week. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
