There's a new series of containers on the market from a company called Lock and Lock. The containers are polypro with snap locks on each side and a water/air tight seal. I picked up a couple at the local grocery store for $1.87 each to try out for PSK use.

Mine measures out to 6.1 x 6.1 x 1.8" and it's listed to be capable of holding 2.5 cups of whatever. Basically, it's a sandwich sized container that easily fits in a BDU pocket, large jacket pocket, waist pouch, haversack, or pack.

I've stuffed mine to nearly full capacity this am, and here's the contents list thus far:

That kind of looks like the plano waterproof boxes. I've used these boxes for PSK and FAK kits. Also I have used them to store scuba gear when diving off of boats, they work well.

Interesting kit. looks like you put together a well thought out/comprehensive kit, while keeping it on a budget - but still having good quality items. I was wondering if you had an idea about the cost for this kit. Are you still carrying one of the small Q-Tip box PSK? Or has this one replace that?

Adam,

The Q-Tip box mini PSK is with me anytime I don't have a larger kit available. The Q-Tip Mini is just too handy to replace - it even rides well in the lightest of gym shorts...

I got myself a 4.5" X 4.5" Lock and Lock container for when I need my FAK to be waterproof.

Its just a basic FAK:
1 pair of tweezers (removing splinters, etc.)
2 packs of 10 pcs of 7.5 x 7.5cm sterile gauze pads (cover wounds)
1 Triangular bandage (many many uses)
8 Band Aids (cover little boo boos)
1 tube antiseptic cream (use with gauze)
2 Alcohol wipes (clean the wound)
2 Safety pins (use with bandage)
Personal info written on duct tape stuck to inside of box

The place I bought mine had small little circular Lock & Lock containers that looked like cat food cans! How cool is that?

I got the 4 qt version, which is 9x11x3 inches. Just the right size for my flight bag, although it's a little thick. I haven't decided what goes in it yet. But since it's a bit big, some of the stuff I keep in my flight bag but don't use very often will also go in there.
