I just picked up one of the new PSK's from REI. Well thought IMO. I have one question concerning the Signal mirror, possibly it has been asked before. Why is the signal mirror Double covered? The Mirror surface has a protective paper covering (I understand why) but it also has a plastic over-wrap, Why? If it only had the plastic over-wrap it would still maintain the finish and be of some use as a std. mirror until the signal properties were needed. <><
Guess I wasn't very clear. The mirror has a paper covering, then it's sealed in clear plastic, and then enclosed in the PSK. The clear plastic covering should be enough to protect the finish, IMO. Of course then you would need to pay someone to remove the paper covering Before the mirror was sealed in the clear plastic! <><
