This is the kind of tool adapter I've been looking for, for ages.

Is this a recent invention?

I remember from other threads that there are a few forumites that would have liked the adapter to have a ratchet feature.

I too would like to know if any one has used this "in the field".

I wouldn't mind having one. Minimum order is 6 peices and I've seen some of the other tools on the site before and they were not quality tools so I fear it might ot be either.

I know what you mean about quality, some of the other items on the site look abit to gimmicky to be taken seriously.
I have the "finger ratchet" R.150 which is a little gem and serves me well. ( Look under ratchets in the link).
Facom .

It's just that I have this and the tool adapter for my super tool, this would replace two items.

But I'll see if anyone has gotten one and how it performs before I'll invest in one.

( Note that like all quality tools the Facom range are guaranteed for life)

I e-mailed them to see if I could buy some. I do a little Ebay, and these might go OK. If I get them I'll post about quality if no one else has.

Got one for Christmas last year (standard model -- haven't seen the Wave model); think my wife purchased
it from the Sporty's catalog.

Used lightly, done fine -- don't know that I'd put major stress on it though (but then the length of the
leatherman == handle, so w/o a 'cheater bar' you can't really put a lot of stress on it).

worked fine for minor bicycle work, lawn mower, canoe, etc. -- but I wouldn't want to assemble a swingset
with it!

I just heard from Unique Tools about the "Adapta Tool". It is "no longer available". so much for that.
