The tecnology is not the same. Krill uses electroluminence, the Glo Tube uses an LED bulb through a difusion medium. On the CandlePowers Forum, one user that has both, indicated that produce about the same amount of diffuse light (Krill extreme and Glo Tube). I have several Krill and like them. I will likely get one of the Glo Tubes. Pete

Neat looking product. I'll probably get a one to compare against my Krills. Just off-hand, I think I'll probably prefer the Krills, since they use standard AA batteries, and the glo-toobs need that 12v one.
