I was in upstate New York (Troy-Albany) for the 1993 "Storm of the Century" which dropped 39" of snow on Troy in around 18 hours. The snow plows shoved all the snow into the Hudson river and let people downstream deal with it.
Much of it will be piled on and around my car. Street parking is a real pain in the winter. And apparently, my license number is on file with the Department of Sanitation. Doesn't matter which side of the street I park on, the snow plows adjust to put the snow on that side.
Reports here suggest that as much as 30 (thirty) inches of snow is expected in and around NYC. USA weather is seldom on the front page over here, but it is at present.
