hi guys Anyone heard about or got any opinions on the Sigg hydration sytem-it fits into your sigg bottle and turns it into something resembelling a camelback!
i have no experians with the sigg hydration system, but most, if not all hands-off hydration systems with hardshell resevoirs/bottle's will creat a vacuum, with makes it very hard to use wenn it starts to get emtyer...

Wow, what a coincedence. I'd never seen this before untill today when I visited a hiking shop in salisbury. It looks like quite a good idea, although you could get a platipus bottle and hoser for the same price

This looks like the same principle behind the TABS straw that Brigade Quartermasters sell for the GI canteen. You can overcome the vacuum problem by blowing air into the canteen/Sigg bottle through the hose whenever the resistance to drinking starts to build. The military teaches the same thing for drinking from a canteen while wearing a NBC mask. It can take more lung power than you might expect but it does work
