Reg. Band Aids - 5
Mini Bad-Aids - 3
Neosporin to-go packet - 1
Chewable Pepto Bismol tabs - 2
Benadryl capsules - 3
Ibuprofen tablets - 6
Small strip of electrical tape, to make sure the tin stays sealed.

With this tiny little bugger, I can treat scrapes, cuts, allergies, insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, pain, and fever. I've carried it for a week, and have come to the aid of 2 paper-cut coworkers in that time. And with the job I have, the Ibuprofen for headache and Pepto for indigestion will come in handy sooner than later! My coworkers thought it was "interesting" but didn't rib me too much....God help me if they discover my PSK! Or then again, maybe they'll all borrow my idea! <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I wonder if it's possible to get hydrocortisone cream in little packets like the Neo...it would be a useful addition for skin irritations without the side effect of being knocked out by the Benadryl. I could probably squeeze in a mini SAK too, if only for the tweezers. With my usual carry gear I have no less than 4 knife blades on me at all times!

Any other ideas for improvement?

Nice use of the small tin, I've been looking at them in the check out stands and pondering the possibilities myself. (Been considering their use as switchable sub-components for a modular system.)

Maybe instead of electrical tape use standard medical tape? I did it to my FAK and it works fine. I would put a small dressing in there nothing bigger than 2by2. When you have a wide cut or scrape, pad like that works miracles in connection with medical tape. How do you carry your "meds"? Do you just throw them in loose or use those small special one time pockets?

Polak187...Good idea about the medical tape! And I could fit a dressing in there too. I have some of both handy from a MAJOR sunburn I suffered last summer! As for the meds...The Benadryl come in a blister pack, so I left them in the original packaging, and trimmed around the blister pack so they take up very little room (hardly more than each induvidual capsule.) The Pepto Bismol are also induvidually wrapped in plastic. I just wrapped the Ibuprofen tablets in some aluminum foil.

Trusbx....D'oh! Yeah, I work in a drugstore, I should know that hydrocortisone does come in packets...we just don't stock the packets, only the tubes. Pitiful really - we have a lot of induvidual first aid stuff, but only sell one type of kit...and not a good one at that! <img src="images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> But the upside to my job...working there, we do business with a vendor that deleivers the next day, and they stock thousands of Rx and OTC medicines. I think I'll give them a call and see about getting those packets. It's about 15 degrees now (not counting windchill ! <img src="images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> ) but we have hot and bug-infested summers here, so I'm sure I could find use for what is left over after stocking my other 1st aid kits.
