New York Earthquake

Bit surprised that no reports on here about this. Widely reported on UK media.
Stated to be 4.8 magnitude. Early reports suggest no loss of life and only minor injuries.
This of course may change as more reports come in.

4.8 pretty mild.

Remember being in a chemistry lab in the 90s, and had a 5.1 magnitude here in Wales, UK.

The glassware rattling was only thing really noticeable.

This was much less serious than I feared, and IMHO does not belong in this forum.
Suggest moving it.

This didn’t turn out to be a “disaster” but I don’t think it’s inappropriate here. I’ll leave it as-is.
