I'm back. Did I miss anything?

Been away from the forums a while, I'm working bi-coastally now, so I spend a whole lot of time in the air, and it's tricky to get the time. But shifted working schedules a bit and hope to spend more time online doing recreational computing.

Glad you are surviving the urban grind

You missed that I have applied and been accepted to grad school. Of course I did not tell anyone else. So, all of you know. But, that is about me. Survival applies in that I hope to not lose my way while I am in the "wilderness of academia".

the entire midwest fell into a giant sinkhole and disappeared.
but not to worry - the media didn't cover it anyway.
