Christmas Shopping Suggestion & Thank You!

Christmas Shopping Suggestion & Thank You! - 12/14/17 11:06 PM

I was out Christmas shopping the other day and found a genuine Micro Photon in the local surplus store. I scooped it up right away, along with an extra battery for mine. It was only the third time I've had to change it in all time I've had it, I realized that that's been more than ten years now.

I first read about them here on ETS before I became a member, and it's been around my neck and used almost daily ever since. I looked for Doug's version, but to settle for the less spiffy model. wink I just wanted to say thanks for the heads up and recommendation! And - I totally recommend these as stocking stuffers!

Does anyone else have an rock solid suggestions for inexpensive gifts?

Right now there are some good deals to be had on Doug's CRKT RSK mk5. They've been popping up on various sites around ten bucks. Mora knives are in the same price range and make nice stocking stuffers. I think small inexpensive flashlights are a great gift, too. The Olight I3E EOS is a terrific light for around $11.

Phaedrus,

I've been looking to get another couple of Doug's CRKT neck carry knives to place in kits for family members and the lowest I've seen pricing for is $19, can you provide links to better pricing? Thanks.

FWIW, Big 5 here in SoCal had the Mk 5 on sale a while ago for ten bucks. The knife is a good deal at twenty, for that matter.

At the moment I don't know of any pending/active deals on the Mk5 but I'll keep an eye out! A ways back I got a fistfull of them from Woot.com but they're out at the moment.
