COBRA Emergency Evacuations for Storm Surge. - 12/05/13 03:11 PM

Currently there is a North Sea Storm Surge warning for the east coast of England around East Anglia, Wash area etc, where mass evacuations are now taking place.

They are in taking preparations to ensure that there isn't a repeat of the 1953 storm, after the storm passed through Scotland last night. Wind speeds up to 142 mph were recorded, leaving HGVs hanging off the side of a near by Bridge etc. 100,000 homes have been left without electrical power in Scotland.
