Todd, if you want us to advise you, you need to post photos of said loved one. grin

(Back to the OP)

Off the top of my head, some global wishes (and some for specific people):

- proper car kit for winter driving in Alberta (it's a-comin', argh!)
- an aversion to non-investment credit
- an aversion to advertising that flogs the latest must-have crapola
- an affinity for hardcore energy conservation
- a strong desire to put down that cell phone while driving
- 20 cc of "what if" thinking, slow release formula
- a little bit of inner peace and calm

Will the 15KW generator and transfer switch fit in my stocking Santa?

Suggest you hook up with a few friends/relatives and stitch all your stockings together. 15kW genny will then fit.

Dear Santa,

Please put the following in my stocking:

-A Ford F350 diesel dually extra cab 4X4 with a 10 or 11 foot slide-in camper.

-A Doug Ritter RSK Mark 1 (if you think it will fit)

No doubt! We've already had a few snowstorms here in Colorado. I've cobbled a car kit together over the years, but a pre-made one might be an excellent gift idea.

And Izzy -- A double order that you got to keep? How nice is that? smile

Some more ideas:

*a couple packets of easy-to-grow garden seeds
*a pocket field guide of local plants and animals
*a well-made hand lens
*a warm hat

Why did this make me think of Bowser and Blue? (Our members north of the 49th should get this reference - "Hey Santa...") (warning, if you do a web searh - Not child/work safe words)

Dear Santa, Dear Santa,
Here's what need,
But if you can't swing it,
My life goes to seed....

A cooking tripod for my Dutch Oven
Fireplace Log Tongs for the campfire and my Dutch Oven
A Leatherman Squirt for my "work EDC"
A German Army Mess Kit for my GHB

or

Peace on Earth with good will towards men (and women)!
