T.S. Paloma coming for us - 11/06/08 11:46 AM

http://www.stormpulse.com

Its coming close to the end of huricane season and we have this darn TS coming for us.

It wouldn't be that bad, but my mother just flew in for a month visit (to take care of my wife so I can get caught up on work). All I can say to her is... Welcome to the island! LOL

Yup... business as usual until it goes to a Cat 3... Then it gets interesting!

BTW: Found out that one of the twins is going to be a boy! Other one wouldn't cooperate...

Congrats on the son Kris! If the other one won't cooperate it's probably going to be a girl laugh

Stubborn like 'her' mother... hope the wife doesn't see this! LOL

So, more worried about the coming tropical storm or the coming estrogen one?

I advise plywood for the former and Hagan Daz for the latter.

Congratulations on the new family members and good luck with the storm preps.

Kris,

Good luck and congrats on the little ones.

BTW You might want to consider watching the sky sounds like it may be of interesting soon. Be safe, and don't forget to duck.

Which island?

We were on Grand Cayman in 2003. I really could see myself sticking around for a while If I could get a work visa for my wife and I after we retire here in the USA.

Just got power on about 20 mins ago... First thing is first, you don't miss aircon until you live without it for almost 20 hours!!!!!!!!! We just cranked it on and trying to freeze ourselves and water came on a few hours ago.

It looks like Little Cayman and Cayman Brac got hit with a Cat 4. Heard that a shelter with people in it had its roof blown off this morning at the high point of the storm.

Anyways, I have to take a run into work and check things out (been driving around since about 8am this morning). Almost next to nothing to damage in Georgetown and surrounding areas. Not sure about East End (where the hurricane came closest).

Thanks!

I'm on Grand Cayman.

If you in the area give me a shout! Nothing like a beer on the beach when everyone else is digging themselves out of the latest snow storm!

Oh, you worrying husbands. My Father's an OBGYN (Former Professor at University of Florida and head of spouse and female soldier care at Fort Bliss) so I hear through him about annoying worrying husbands. They're almost as bad as those "GET THIS TUMOR OUT OF ME!" near end of term women who scream at me over the phone when they think I'm him.

Just keep reassuring her that everything is fine. Clearly if you are a member of this site then that means you are like me. Prepared and will make sure everyone around me knows it so they can feel secure. Just do what you do and she'll be fine.

No worries... Nothing a beer can't handle. ;-)
