Spyderco Fixed blades - 01/04/07 09:55 AM

Being a big Spyderco fan, I just came across their new model fixed blades.

Has anyone tested the new Spyderco fixed blades? They look promising as a survival type of knives.

They come in 4 models: Dayhiker, Woodlander, Forager and Forester, from smallest to largest.

# Overall Length (inches): 10.50, 12-5/8, 14, and 15-9/16
# Blade Length (inches): 4.56, 6-3/32, 7-1/2, and 9-1/2
# Blade Material: N690Co
# Blade Detail: Plain

For some reason, Spyderco just isn't a name that seems to be associated with fixed blades. They make great folders (I've got 4!) but never specifically looked for a fixed blade from the inventors of the pocket clip.

I got the Bill Moran Drop-point (FP02) model. VG-10 steel... I like it a lot ! It's really sharp !

Dayhiker and company will be coming out in February - March, I was just wondering if anyone had any inside connections to Spyderco and had a chance to test them out
